Yep, you read that right. Out of thousands of cafés worldwide, we made it to the list — and we’re beyond proud to put Lisbon on the global coffee map
A Moment to Remember — Madrid Coffee Fest 2025
The energy at Madrid Coffee Fest was insane. Roasters, baristas, café owners, and coffee lovers from across the globe gathered under one roof to share stories, techniques, and of course — lots (and lots) of coffee.
We brought some of our signature beans from Lisbon, hosted cuppings, and shared the love we pour into every brew at our cafés. The response? Heartwarming. From fellow roasters to random visitors, so many people stopped by our stand and told us, "We’ve heard of The Folks — you’re doing something really special."
At CoffeeFest Madrid 2025, the organizers unveiled the inaugural "World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops" ranking, based on a mix of expert and public votes (70% expert, 30% public) and judged on 8 criteria: coffee quality, barista expertise, customer service, innovation, ambiance, sustainability, food/pastry quality, and consistency.
We’re beyond honored to be ranked number 74 at our first festival event abroad from Portugal.
Between brewing numerous cups of coffee Martin had time to give interview and share some words about The Folks and coffee community of Lisbon.
